IPC2U Group announces a new Intel® Pentium® M and Intel® Celeron® M EBX Embedded Computers

Advantech has just released two new EBX 5.25” embedded computers that offer great processing power, low power consumption and excellent graphics support. The PCM-9582 and PCM-9587 feature Intel® Pentium® M and Intel® Celeron® M processors with Intel® 855GME and Intel® 852GM Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) and Intel® 6300ESB I/O Controller Hub (ICH). The Intel platform architecture features a low power design and integrated graphics solution with a 400 MHz system bus and integrated 32-bit 3D core at 133 MHz and audio with the performance and scalability to drive a wide range of high-end embedded computing applications.

Highest Performance for Embedded Developers
The Intel Pentium M processor offers the combination of high performance computing features with the lowest power dissipation. The PCM-9582 single board computer comes with an onboard Intel Pentium M or Intel Celeron M processor with speed options from 600 MHz up to 1.8 GHz, making it the highest performance EBX CPU board on the market. The combination of Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology (Pentium M) and the Intel 855GME/ICH4 chipset make the boards suitable for a high performance, fanless and compact systems. These industry standard EBX boards have standardized I/O connections and mounts that help speed development time when integrating into tight chassis and enclosures.

The PCM-9582’s Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processor (PCM-9587 is Celeron M only) and 855 GME chipset provide main processing, device support, and analog or flat panel video output. The system supports a wide array of I/O devices for communication with peripherals, networked systems and specialized devices. On-board I/Os include a 10/100 Ethernet port (optional 10/100/1000 Mbps), one EIDE (UDMA 100), two SATA 150, one FDD, one K/B, one Mouse, three RS-232, one RS232/422/485 and one LPT.
